Outfitting for TV

Do I love every piece of clothing and/or accessory my clients have? No. Are some of these pieces important to their personality? Very. Fashion is not only looking good, but expressing yourself. So how do I embrace a clients personality and affection for insane neckwear and make it work and TV appropriate?

When pairing shirts and ties, as long as you stay in the same color family you can mix prints and patterns. However do not mix more than two different prints and patterns at a time. A floral with a stripe is fine, a plaid with a polkadot can work well. Yet do not do a plaid, a polkadot and a paisley in one outfit.

Another helpful tip especially for TV and video, bold patterns distort the camera. Stick to solids or small print for your shirt.
