2026 Swimwear Fashion
It’s officially spring and it will soon be officially too hot to ignore that it’s bathing suit season. Before you head down to 30A (or your neighborhood pool) here are some tips to make sure your swimwear attire is in tip-top shape.
More is more… yes, she did wear an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny yellow polka dot bikini—but that song was made in 1960. Covering up doesn’t mean giving up. Show some, but not all.
The 3 F’s: fit, function, and fabric. Every swimsuit (and everything you wear) should fit—no exceptions. If it passes that test, it moves to round two: function. You should be able to move comfortably and confidently; if you’re falling out of it when you stand up, it’s a no-go.
Finally, fabric matters. It should be both comfortable and durable. It doesn’t matter if it costs $5 on Amazon or feels like the softest silk you’ve ever worn—if it can’t handle wear and tear from pools to salt water, it’s out. A good swimsuit should last for years, not months.
